COMPANY
PROFILE
Svecha is a privately owned engineering firm founded in 1991. It is located in
the town of Zelenograd, 40 km away from the center of Moscow and 15 km from the
Sheremetevo international airport.
The
company employs 20 full-time staff. Ten of them are scientists and engineers
with expertise in electronics, lighting technology, metrology, and industrial
design.
Reference
direction of activity of the company
- research, mining and production of signaling instrumentation on the basis of
light emitting diodes - LED.
In Russia the research work on
research of capabilities of creation of traffic lights on light emitting diodes
is scientific - SVECHA
in 1992 - 1993 was executed in the initiative schedule. In 1994-96 SVECHA
has
elaborated and has organized production of traffic lights on light emitting
diodes under the requirement specification which was matched UGAI
Moscow. As a result of fulfillment of the indicated activity the traffic lights
28 types which are fulfilling conditions of the Russian standard
GOST
25695 - are created 91. The substantiation of usage LED
in signaling instrumentation, predictable parameters and some outcomes as of a
beginning of 1997 are adduced in the review
« Signaling instrumentation on light
emitting diodes », published in the log-book "«Lighting engineering", ¹ 5 for
1997.
In
of October 1996 the series production of traffic lights on a task Government
of Moscow started. More than 1500 traffic lights, including in Kremlin, in the
main streets of downtown now are established
Rigging center of Moscow was marked by LED traffic lights by
authoritative printed publicity materials: Traffic report, May 4
1998ã.,
Traffic
technology international, April, - May 1998.
The traffic lights of production of the SVECHA
Company are established in cities of the Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod and Tyumen
areas, in cities Volgograd, of Perm etc. In September, 1998 the traffic lights
on light emitting diodes are established in a central street of. Kiev -
Krezschatik.
Svecha
has established successful co-operation with a number of Russian enterprises,
including both component and material suppliers and users of our products. We
use LEDs made by Hewlett-Packard and Nichia Chemical Industries.
The intellectual property on the created and developed devices is protected in
Russia by the patent and series of the testimonies of Russian Federation on
useful models.
COMMODITY
( 1998-2002)
The Traffic
lights
transport and pedestrian in a polycarbonate
body (second generation). The second generation differs by higher service
performances.
The transport Traffic
light
« Motion on a reversible band » on LED
with a varied signal (three or two signals in one body), is established about
forty traffic lights on the third transport ring in Moscow.
Obstruction light
on LED
for light marking of objects presenting a threat to security of motion of an air
carrier.
The road Sign
"«Speed restriction" with a varied signal intended for speed control of motion
of transportation facilities on highways, value of speed changes from 10 km\hs
up to 190 km\hs with a step of 10 km\hs.
The Traffic
light
for regulation of motion of trams.
The Traffic
lights, road Signs
and obstruction lights
are certificate.
Coast navigational Lights
intended for identification of a ship course and an altitude of shipping pass
under bridges on bearings. Now four bridges through the Moscow - river and
channel of a name of Moscow are equipped with coast navigational lights of
production SVECHA.
SVECHA
IN THE PRESS
"Moscow is the unlikely
location for one of the most comprehensive installation of advanced LED traffic
signals. City authorities are now installing what is believed to be the largest
number of the LED-only signals in the word. Local company Svecha has been
promoting LEDs since 1993 and convinced the GAI (State Automotive Inspectorate)
to trial 20 LED signals at one downtown junction. The signals survived the
botter Moscow winter without trouble but the GAI then requested that an LED-only
system be produced. When the first blue-green LEDs became available in 1996,
Svecha manufactured a three-way LED-only unit , based on Hewlett-Packard LEDs,
and to date more 1,000 signals have been installed in the city, covering the
whole city center. Svecha is now selling to other Russian
Cities."
Traffic Technology International, April/May 1998
"The European market is beginning to open with some 'pockets' of acceptance now adding to the credibility of the products. Svecha had recorded a notable success with installations in Moscow, where its Hewlett-Packard three-color LED signals have performed well, despite extreme temperature operation ranges…"
